Our experience with our dog Smokey

Smokey had a better day today than yesterday. I felt like a bad mom yesterday and thought I would start fresh today. As I mentioned in my blog yesterday, we purchased a real kennel for Smokey and I think he likes it pretty well. He didn’t do his little whimpering like he usually does when we leave him alone. He actually slept all night.

I take him for a walk before I go to work in the morning and I usually have to make him go into the laundry room or yesterday, I had to force him to get into his portable kennel. Today, I did not have to force him into his new kennel. He went inside before I even took his leash off of him. I had to pull him back out of the kennel to take the leash off.

I bought some little bowls that you snap on the gate of the cage, so I put a little water in one and a little dog food in the other….he was set!

My daughter came home after school, gave me a call and told me that everything was all good with Smokey!
